Long Lost Bunny Girls Resurface!

•November 16, 2009 • 7 Comments

Hot Damn! Look what I found buried in one of my travel bags. I thought I had lost this SD memory card forever. In my last trip to HK quite awhile back, I had switched memory cards in my camera when we came back from Beijing. For some odd reason, I thought it was a good idea at the time to keep the destinations separated. However, when we got back home, I couldn’t find the card to save my life.
Last week, my sis needed to borrow my suitcase, so I dug it up and cleaned it out for her. I found the memory card wedged between some old receipts, which I was about to toss out. Luckily, I checked what they were first, and found buried treasure. Just one of those lucky days, I guess…

In this pic, some of you will recognize the area straight away. It’s Mong Kok district in Hong Kong packed with phone and camera stores. These lovely ladies were handing out promotional mouse pads, and believe it or not, most of the public just ignored them.
Unlike Akiba, only a few old geezers had their cameras trained upon them, and as you can see by the pic, everyone else just went about their business. Being the gentleman that I am *snicker snicker*, I asked each girl if I could take a pic with them, and then this final group shot. Surprisingly, the old photogs let me take them without interuption, and the girls seemed more than happy for the attention. However, their “handler” finally had enough of my antics, and told me it was enough. I thanked them all, said goodbye to the girls, and continued on my way…

This pic was a entirely different story. I don’t know who she is, but she must of been some kind of celebrity. Saw her during some kinda TVB program interviewing her in Tsim Sha Tsui, and security was tight. I waited around a bit to see if I could get a photograph with her, but the security guy would only let me take a shot from afar. Still, I had to try to get a good shot out of it. Not very often you get to see a cute girl in HK in a cute bunny/maid outfit. I have a few more shots, but this is all you get.
Don’t say I never did anything for ya…

Goth Louise & Mikkumiku Kagami

•August 30, 2009 • 18 Comments

Here’s a short post on a couple of little goodies I’ve aquired lately. Recently won Goth Louise from a Dannychoo.com giveaway. She really is quite lovely, and I’m so glad to have won her. To be honest, I would not have thought of getting her on my own since I don’t know who Louise is, but the quality of the figure is fantastic.
My latest nendoroid, is the very cute Mikkumiku Kagami. I didn’t initially think of getting her, but after seeing her in a few post it was hard not to pick her up. Quite adorable, don’t you agree?

What she pointing at?

What she pointing at?

Funny thing is, I’ve never watch the anime Lucky star, nor do I have any figures of the original Miku Hatsune. So what prompted me to get her is still unknown to me, but I don’t regret getting her one bit. Easily one of my favorites.

Super cute

As you can see, many of the residence have welcomed Louise. She doesn’t seem to friendly though, so I’m not sure it’s a good idea for Homer to do that…
Mmm... pantsu.

Mmm... pantsu.

Kagami actually has made a couple of nendoroid friends here. However, she has to get use to their sense of humor. Here, Kagami inquired about Melissa’s pumpkin skirt, and asked what’s it really for. The answer: to hold her pet dolphin of course. She’s looking a little pale having told the answer.

!!Starring Rin Kokonoe!!

Little Rin had come from far, far away. She was from the big city, and moved to the country.
After a long journey, she finally arrive to her new home. Being the mischievous little adventurer, she was quick to start exploring her new surroundings.

On a bright sunny afternoon, she decided to roam around the grassy garden of her new home. Lush with greenery, she could hardly see past the tall grass. Suddenly, she thought she spotted something. A movement in the grass up ahead.
She grew excited that she might have found a friend to play with and rushed to investigate.

She came upon a large pine bush, but the sounds of the garden had been replaced with a low rumbling.
Rin cautiously peeked around the bush, and saw found a rather large furry creature snoozing in the shade.

Rin had heard tales of such a creature named Totoro from her homeland, and wondered if this could be him.
She approached the giant creature who seem to ignore her, and climbed on to it’s belly for a closer look.
Despite her intrusion, he continued to sleep, but Rin couldn’t resist waking him…

The beast looked puzzled at first. Eyes wide, and wondering who had disturbed it’s sweet slumber.
Upon seeing Rin, she looked directly at him, giggled and asked “Are you Totoro?”
Totoro just wanted to go back to sleep…

Rin wouldn’t have any of it though, and Totoro let out a monsterous yawn. Rin responded with a loud growl of her own as she sat gleefully on Totoro’s belly.
“You must be Totoro,” she smiled. “You’re so soft and fluffy”…

As the day went by Rin continued to fully enjoy teasing the furry bear-cat. Totoro just continued to lazily lay while little Rin continued her playfully teasing…

Finally, as the sun was setting, and little Rin grew tired. Her playful taunting subsided as the sun made it’s way to the horizon. She laid her head on Totoro’s soft belly, and quickly fell asleep…

This little adventure was made possible thru the generousity of illustrator & doll seamstress extraordinaire, Chun. Who rescued Rin from a lonely shelf in Akihabara, Tokyo. Thanks Chun!

Wonderfest Melissa Nendoroid

Nani? A second update in less than a week? That’s unheard of for me, but here we go…

Hail to the Queen, Baby. *Jazz hands*

Hail to the Queen, Baby! *Jazz hands*

So I was downtown the other day getting my haircut (my sis says I look like a friggin schoolboy), and decided to stop by one of the very few local figure shops I know of existing in the city. My intention was to purely browse, but after perusing the stocked shelves I came upon this cute, little nendoroid. I’ve never purchased one of these nendoroids before as their deformed nature usually doesn’t appeal to me. However after talkin to Tomy, the store owner, who informed me that it was a limited exclusive I decided why not. Many of you know that there is a regular version of this figure, but I never thought of getting her even tho she’s equally as appealing if not more so. So why am I taking pics of my cute little friend? Well, the gf is planning to steal her from under me ASAP after seeing her to adorn her office of all things cute. Ever more reason to limit future nendoroid acquisitions me thinks. Nonetheless, here’s some pic of her before her forthcoming disappearance. Bask in her godly cuteness…

Fertilizer is good for plants, no?

Bird, bird, bird... flippin bird is the word

Well, Melissa waves farewell to you all before her departure. She’s a tough cookie, so she’ll be alright. You can see by her mischievous smile shes sad to see you go. Look! she’s even raising a finger at you saying your #1… or not.

Super Soniko

•April 11, 2009 • 16 Comments

Konnichiwa Soniko fans. Well, she finally arrived after months of waiting for her release. As many of you may know, I came into possession of Soniko thru a giveaway at dannychoo.com way back in November of last year. Unfortunately, her release date was pushed back till recently, but I’m glad she is finally here and settling in. Thanks again to Danny and Hobby Link Japan for their generosity.
So despite my lack of EVER updating this blog, it was relayed to me that many of you actually wanted to see a posting of her. While I’m not one to post reviews on figures, as I’m not really a collector of sorts, I’m more than happy to oblige. Its the least I could do for all the great individuals I’ve met thru the DC community. It’s a rarity to find such a outstanding group of people who are so supportive of each others common interests. How could I say ‘no’?
However, I won’t waste this opportunity on posting a review. You can find that elsewhere on the net, and I am no where qualified to say if you should or should not get Soniko for yourself. I can only say that I like her alot despite her few flaws, and couldn’t be happier she made her long journey across the ocean. While her ecchiness factor might deter some of you from getting her, I can honestly say that both male and female friends seem to gravitate towards her as soon as they lay eyes on her. So here’s a few fun pics of Soniko just doing what she does best. Enjoy (NSFW)!

Hello Soniko-san. A cake and two pies for me? You shouldn't have.

Hello Soniko-san. A cake and two pies for me? You shouldn't have.

Despite her shy disposition, Soniko doesn’t seem to mind parading around wearing almost nothing. However, like most girls, she love accessories. She maybe fond of chocolate cake, but Soniko is apparently more fond of high caliber weapons. She stole this rifle from Nida Schuetlich while she wasn’t looking. Suits her quite well I must say, and it never hurts to have a little protection. I wonder what will happen when Nina finds out…

Guarding Op-Pies

Guarding Op-Pies

I should have warned her when she first arrived, but it totally slipped my mind. There is a master thief lurking among us. He relatively harmless, but a nuisance nonetheless. He blows in like the wind, and disappears before you even know he was there. Usually likes stealing ones things, and placing them elsewhere. While I don’t know his true intentions, he probably just mischievous as things never go missing for long. Here’s a rare security pic of the thief himself. A little grainy and out of focus, but its obvious he enjoys his own antics. Poor Soniko got her rifle and her pantsu stolen. I believe you can see it dangling from the culprit’s ear. For shame…

Totoro 2: Pantsu Bandit

Where I live, people are usually helpful to people in need. Especially if you’re young and attractive. Here we see a good samaritan helping to console Soniko after her ordeal. See how eager he is to help her? And they say a real gentleman is hard to find these days; nonsense. Never judge a book buy it cover… unless he’s really really ugly… or smells bad… or both. Eh, go ahead and judge.

Mmmmm... Pies *drool*

Mmmmm... Pies *drool*

Soniko has an amazing talent of getting the attention of everyone around her. Everyone within her vicinity automatically comes in, and challenges her to a staring contest. Here we see her with her latest challenger, and you can tell he determined to win. His eyes are so wide it almost likes like he’s mesmerized. Looks like they’ll both be at it awhile, so best not to disturb them. Both are pros judging from how fixed his glaze is, and Soniko is obviously use to people staring into her eyes. Unfortunately, I’m no good at staring contests; only pie eating contests.

Concentrate. Focus power.

Concentrate. Focus power.

Hmm… Looks like Nida found out about her rifle, but it didn’t turn out too well for her. Girls and their cat fights *Rawr*. Oh, I know I should be mad at Soniko, but one look at her b00bs face just melts my black heart. I’m sure she’s genuinely sorry. How can you stay mad with b00bs a face like that? Just make sure you put the knife back in its proper place as soon as you’re done, OK? Such a sweet girl.

Nice boat.

Nice boat.

Well thanks for stopping by. When I have more time I’ll put more into this blog, but for now a little dab will have to do ya. I’m a little rusty since my days on AA, so please forgive. Do stop by dannychoo.com, and check out his site if you’re into anything and all that is Japan. T’is all good.

Who be knock’in?
